Chicago Jewish Funerals is proud to again sponsor and support the Greater Chicago Jewish Festival.
The Greater Chicago Jewish Festival for 2012 is a special event. It will have all of the components that have been created over the years: three stages with music, dance and storytelling; a family stage; a Kosher Food Fair; an Art Fair nd Organization Fair, but it will have a different focus.
This Festival marks over 30 years since the first Festival drew the Chicago Jewish community together. Therefore, we will concentrate more of our performer time and artists on those from Chicago or with Chicago roots. You have to be at this Festival whether you are new to the event or remember them all. See you at the Festival.
Israel Solidarity Day is a celebration marking Yom Ha'atzmaut, Israels Independence Day. This community-wide, family-friendly event features the Walk with Israel (a three-mile walkathon to raise funds for Israeli children), plus food and festivities for all ages. Israel Solidarity Day brings together Jews from across the Chicago area to stand with their community and support their Jewish homeland. 2011 Israel Solidarity Day will take place on Sunday, May 22nd in Skokie/Lincolnwood/Rogers Park/Peterson Park and on Sunday, June 5th in the City, North Suburbs, Northwest Suburbs, South Suburbs, Near West Suburbs and West Suburbs. Chicago Jewish Funerals is a Co-Sponsor with Jewish United Fund.
Kav'od Hamet Institute will present a class on Jewish funeral customs and tradtions.
