Beloved husband of Carol nee Goldstein.
Loving father of Lawrence Schaner and Cynthia Schaner Manhoff. Incredibly proud grandfather of Jacob Noah, Zachary Ryan and Nicole Alexis. Dear brother of Martin (Karen) Schaner, the late Susan (Jerome) Bessonny. Devoted uncle of many. Longtime trusted attorney and adviser, business executive, and revered owner of Yellow Bird Stationery and Gift Store in Plaza del Lago, Wilmette. A generous spirit who freely gave back to his community, stayed true to old friends and touched the hearts of all who knew him.
