Dear Kaufman Family
Though Getty lived such a long life it's still so very sad to think of her gone. Everyone who knew her, knew what a wonderful person she was. A woman of valor..
Our conversations always started with Getty asking me about everybody in my family. Of course she knew everybody by name. Then I would ask her about everybody in your family (by name). So I also know everything about your family's. Though she probably was something like a 3rd or 4th cousin once removed (who knows) I always felt like she was my sister (from another mother). My sister Beverly (who was 13 years older than me) and2 years younger than Getty) and Getty were best friends. I was a flower girl at Getty"s wedding. My mother Alice Ellis Traub and May Roffe Traub were first cousins. When my mother came from the old country she lived with May. For me she was the last of that generation. I will miss her very much and she will always be in my heart.
