Jill and I became friends through Northwest Suburban Music Teachers Association (NWSMTA).
She was a very good piano teacher and supported our events, especially the Festival of Pianos held at Northbrook Court in the fall. We would accompany our students and in between we'd collect the music, make sure the music was put in its proper place, collect the music, put the medals on the students, etc. Jill was a wonderful person and will be greatly missed. Dear family of Jill,
I am writing for the NWSMTA - the North West Suburban Music Teachers Association. We are all greatly saddened to hear of Jill's passing, and remember her with love and appreciation. She was a longtime member of our group, and was always a kind and caring person, involved in her students' lives, and the events that she could invite them to with us. Many of our teachers knew her well, and wanted to be able to come to the memorial service for her today, but due to the intense weather, there may not be many of us who can make it. We will be there in spirit though, and our thoughts and prayers are holding her in our hearts, along with all of you.
Our deep condolences to you.

I met Jill when Ashley and my son Sam performed in Melody Lord's piano recitals at the Concert Hall on the Lincoln Park Campus of DePaul University. Soon Jill and I were also playing piano in Melody's recitals and sharing our pre performance jitters. Jill's smile was always warm and welcoming and (to me) she always seemed down to earth and practical. Eventally, I also started teaching piano, joined NWSMTA and enjoyed "catching up" with Jill when we "bumped" into each other at NWSMTA events. I wish to extend my deepest sympathies to Jill's family for this sudden, unexpected and tragic loss. She will be missed very much.

My daughters were so lucky to have Jiill for a piano teacher for almost 10 years. Our hearts and prayers go out to her family during this difficult time. We are so sad we will not be seeing her every week. She was a wonderful teacher and sweet woman. Rest in peace.
