Aunt-Fannie,

You are one spirited woman. I hope I make it past 100 with all the style and smiles that you showed. I'm sure you're sitting on cloud nine waiting for all of us. I will miss you here on earth as my parents' neighbor in Chicago.

Nick 😉

Aunt Fanny is one of my Grandpa Eli Blumberg's two big sisters. She IS Aunt Fanny. I can't think of her as a "was." She is a legend of love and kindness. And sharp!! I have many memories. The latest: three years ago SHE stopped me on Michigan Avenue across from Water Tower. She picked me out of a small crowd, walked up and gave me a hug and kiss, and we schmoozed. I am so grateful my kids knew her, too.

Remember how our Grandma Julia Blumberg always had a positive view of life? Our dear Fanny took that loving way of being to a new height. She was dauntless and blamed no one, a blessing for us all. I will mightily miss her.
