We are very saddened by the loss of Uncle Bill. He was a kind, generous and caring man. He treated our Aunt Adele like a queen. We will cherish the great memories we had over the years...he will be greatly missed! May his kind soul rest in peace.

Uncle Bill was a kind and loving person. And, oh so knowledgeable. His stories were varied, rich, and informative. When my dad died 30 years ago, my Uncle Bill became the "go to" person for repairs and other helpful assistance for my mom. Long before Google, I would joke that if you wanted information about anything, "dial 800-ASK-BILL." I will miss him very much.

I knew Dr. Plotkin from the Skokie Board of Health. He always had a smile for everyone. He offered many valuable suggestions for the Board and for the health of the community.

Dr. Plotkin was a mentor, friend, and source of inspiration. He guided my steps when we both served on the Illinois State Mental Health Planning Board in the 1960's and 1970's. He had a unique capacity for combining empathy, professionalism, and reality. His understanding of people and situations reflected honesty and integrity. A person always knew where they stood with him. He was a man of courage, never afraid to say how he felt about a situation. I am blessed with memories of his leadership and good conversations.
