Alan...having never met you in person I sense I have missed something special. I will always be glad to have experienced our connection by happenstance. No poetic musings from me in this moment. Today you are the poetry.

Alan,
Thank you for being a shining bright star in my life. I may have not known you long but I enjoyed every conversation we had while in the coffee shop. You have inspired me to write poetry again and my first will be for you. You will be deeply missed from my life. Thank you for teaching me so many things and listening to my stories as well. May God Bless you and your family. All my love and prayers and a toast to you with Peppermint tea bags, double cupped, no lid! XO

Last week, soon after hearing of Alanâ??s passing, I was sitting in a coffee shop crying tears of joy to James Taylorâ??s Youâ??ve got A Friend. www.youtube.com/watch?v=xEkIou3WFnM&feature=kp. I will certainly feel this way about Alan forever. If there were a wake at St. Peetâ??s this would be one of the songs. This wonderful man, a warm shining light in so many ways to so many people, will be missed and he will be remembered.

Love,
Bill
