OBITUARY

Gregory M. Chanen of Chicago, IL, age 56, died on September 9, 2014

He was a deeply loved son of Doralu and Franklin Chanen, the beloved brother of Bruce and Stuart Chanen, the dear brother-in-law of Julie Fenton and proud uncle of Sydney, Alexander, Emma and Elliot. A graduate of Kendall College, Greg was an avid reader and traveler. Greg delighted in engaging with people on his favorite topics, such as politics, history and sports. Greg relished his independence and traveled extensively around the United States and to several foreign countries. Greg will be remembered for his indominatable spirit which enabled him to meet and overcome serious challenges. Contributions may be made to The Gregory M. I remember growing up playing with Greg as children on family visits, meeting up with him a few times during my college days in Chicago and having Greg visit me in different places around the country. He was a breath of fresh air and so friendly and curious. What a wonderful soul.
